UGI Utilities, Inc. is scheduled to begin additional gas main replacement projects on March 11 in Bethlehem. The work is part of UGI’s commitment to provide safe and reliable service and will impact Linden Street between East Elizabeth Avenue and Melrose Avenue.
Construction is scheduled for Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7am and 5pm. Drivers, residents, and business owners may experience road closures, detours, and traffic delays during construction hours. Traffic in and out of Liberty High School may also be impacted. Parking will also be restricted on this section of Linden Street during construction hours. There will be some interruptions to natural gas service. This will require UGI to have access to properties to inspect and relight equipment.
Construction is expected to be completed in early August. Weather and working conditions may impact the completion date.
