UGI Utilities, Inc. has begun a natural gas main replacement project in the city of Lancaster. The natural gas main replacement project will impact the following streets:
· East Orange Street from North Broad Street to Riverside Avenue;
· Ranck Avenue from East Orange Street to Clark Avenue;
· Riverside Avenue from East Orange Street to North Broad Street;
· Clark Street from North Broad Street to Cottage Avenue.
More than 6,500 feet of non-contemporary main will be replaced. This project will also renew gas service lines to approximately 210 customers.
Construction hours will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. During construction hours, residents will experience road closures, detours, and traffic delays. Parking also will be restricted on those blocks during construction hours. Accommodations will be made for emergency vehicles.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of September.
