UGI Utilities, Inc. will perform road restoration work in the town of Bloomsburg beginning Monday, August 9. The restoration work will occur in the following areas:
· West 4th Street from Market Street to West Street;
· West 3rd Street from Market Street to West Street;
· West Street from West 4th Street to West Main Street;
· West Anthony Avenue from West Street and Oyer Avenue;
· Oyer Avenue from West 3rd Street. and West 4th Street.
Residents and commuters traveling through the area are asked to be alert for temporary road and lane closures, as well as parking restrictions. These restrictions will be in effect only in each day’s restoration area. Residents will be provided at least 12 hours notice prior to any road closure.
Road restoration will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 pm. each day, Monday through Friday. The restoration project is expected to be completed by the end of August.
UGI suggests that travelers through the area seek alternative routes during construction hours and allow extra time for travel.
This road restoration work follows completion of a UGI facility improvement project. The facility improvement projects will help ensure the safe and reliable supply of natural gas to UGI’s Bloomsburg-area customers.
