UGI Utilities began system upgrades this week in the Center Valley area of Upper Saucon Township. The natural gas main replacement is part of UGI’s commitment to provide safe and reliable service and is an opportunity for some residents and businesses to convert to natural gas.
Work is expected to be completed by the end of September and impact the following streets:
Camp Meeting Road between Preston Lane and Saucon Avenue
Saucon Avenue between East Saucon Avenue and Camp Meeting Road
Construction is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm. Drivers should expect lane restrictions. There will be some interruptions to natural gas service that will require UGI to have access to properties to inspect and relight equipment.
Weather and working conditions may have an impact on the completion date. After underground work is complete, final paving and restoration will occur later.
