UGI Utilities, Inc. is scheduled to begin a gas main replacement project in Harrisburg on April 22. The work is part of UGI’s commitment to provide safe and reliable service and will impact the following streets:
- Reel St between Division Street and Radnor Street
- Lexington Street between Division Street and Reels Lane
- North 6th Street between Division Street and Reels Lane
- Wiconisco Street between North 5th Street and Jefferson Street
- Geary Street between North 6th Street and Jefferson Street
- Radnor Street between North 5th Street and Waldo Street
Construction is scheduled for Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7am and 5pm. Drivers, residents, and business owners may experience road closures, detours, and traffic delays during construction hours. Parking will be restricted on the impacted streets during these hours. There will be some interruptions to natural gas service. This will require UGI to have access to properties to inspect and relight equipment.
Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of June. Weather and working conditions may impact completion date.
