UGI System Upgrades Project Now Underway in Sellersville

Work Provides Opportunities to Convert to Natural Gas

UGI Utilities just began system upgrades in Sellersville Borough, Bucks County. The work is part of UGI’s commitment to provide safe and reliable service and is an opportunity for some homes and businesses along the project route to convert to natural gas.

The installation of the new natural gas main is expected to be completed by the end of July and impact the following streets:

  •  East Temple Avenue from North Main Street to East Walnut Street

  • Intersection of North Main Street and East Temple Avenue

  • East Walnut Street from East Temple Avenue to North Main Street

  • Intersection of North Main Street and East Walnut Street

Construction is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm. Drivers will experience traffic restrictions during construction hours. There will be some interruptions to natural gas service that will require UGI to have access to properties to inspect and relight equipment. Also, customers with natural gas meters that are inside, will likely have those meters moved to an outside location.

Weather and working conditions may have an impact on the completion date. After underground work is complete, final paving and restoration will occur later.

UGI encourages anyone interested in converting to natural gas to contact the company at 800-276-2722 or gasconversion@ugi.com.
