UGI System Upgrades Scheduled to Begin Next Week in Carlisle Area

UGI Utilities is scheduled to begin a system upgrade project on Tuesday, September 8, 2026,  that will impact the Carlisle area. The natural gas main replacement is part of UGI’s commitment to provide safe and reliable service.

The work is expected to be completed by the end of September and impact the following streets:

  •  West Trindle Road (PA-641) between Valley Street and Fairfield Street

  • Eastbound lane of West Trindle Road (PA-641) between Fairfield Street and I-81 Interchange

Construction is scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am and 5pm. Drivers should expect traffic restrictions.  There will be some interruptions to natural gas service that will require UGI to have access to properties to inspect and relight equipment.

Weather and working conditions may have an impact on the completion date. After underground work is complete, final paving and restoration will occur later.
