UGI Utilities, Inc. is scheduled to begin a gas main replacement project in Easton on February 14. As part of UGI’s commitment to provide safe and reliable service, the new gas main will go in on Spruce Street from South 15th Street to South Elder Street. The following streets that connect with Spruce Street will also be impacted:
· South Cherry Street from Spruce Street to Lehigh Street
· South 12th Street from Ferry Street to Lehigh Street
Construction is scheduled for Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7am and 4pm. Drivers, residents, and business owners may experience road closures, detours, and traffic delays during construction hours. Parking will be restricted on the impacted streets during these hours. There will be some interruptions to natural gas service. This will require UGI to have access to properties to inspect and relight equipment.
Construction is scheduled to be completed by early May. Weather and working conditions may impact completion date.
