UGI Utilities, Inc. is scheduled to begin gas main replacements on March 1 in Easton. The new gas mains are part of UGI’s commitment to continue to provide safe and reliable natural gas service. The work will impact the following areas:
Expected Construction Completion: Early May
· Washington Street between South 10th Street and South 7th Street
· South 9th Street between Washington Street and Lehigh Street
· South 9th Street between Walnut Street and Wolf Avenue
· Walnut Street between Butler Street and Washington Street
· The intersection of Walnut Street and Washington Street
Expected Construction Completion: End of May
· Bushkill Drive between Detrich Road and Bushkill Street
· Pardee Street between Detrich Road and West Burke Street
· West Pierce Street between Pardee Street and Mary Street
Construction is scheduled for Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7am and 5pm. Drivers, residents, and business owners may experience road closures, detours, and traffic delays during construction hours. Parking will be restricted on the impacted streets during these hours. There will be some interruptions to natural gas service. This will require UGI to have access to properties to inspect and relight equipment.
Weather and working conditions may impact completion date.
