Christopher R. Brown has been named Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of UGI Utilities, effective January 16, 2023. In this role, Mr. Brown will report to UGI Corporation Chief Financial Officer Ted Jastrzebski and work closely with UGI Utilities, Inc. President Hans Bell as a member of the Utilities leadership team.
“Chris brings extensive institutional knowledge and experience, a thorough understanding of the many facets of UGI Utilities’ complex financial and regulatory structures, and a proven track record of leadership and driving successful business results to his new role,” Mr. Jastrzebski said.
Previously, Mr. Brown served as Vice President and General Manager – Rates and Supply at UGI Utilities where he led the company through several successful regulatory accomplishments. These included UGI receiving regulatory approval for a five-year pilot integrating Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) into the Utilities’ supply portfolio and the implementation of a Weather Normalization Adjustment (WNA) pilot.
Mr. Brown joined UGI in 1997 and has held various roles of increasing responsibility in Engineering, Marketing, Rates and Gas Supply, Customer Accounting, Call Center, Field Operations, as well as the role of Market Manager at AmeriGas, a UGI Utilities, Inc. sister company. He also served as Senior Director – Operations, UGI Utilities South Region.
Mr. Brown earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University and a Master of Business Administration from Lebanon Valley College. He also completed Strategy and Management for Competitive Advantage Executive Education at The Wharton School – University of Pennsylvania.
